How to Collect Your Sample
Follow these simple tips for the best results:
Drink a large glass of water at least 30 minutes before collecting your sample. Good hydration makes blood flow much easier and is the most important factor for a successful collection.
Run your hands under warm water for 1–2 minutes and gently shake them. Warm fingers produce better blood flow. You can also do gentle hand exercises to boost circulation.
Use the alcohol swab to clean your ring or middle finger. Press the lancet firmly against the side of your fingertip — it activates automatically. A small, quick prick is all it takes.
Allow the blood drops to fall naturally onto the collection card circles. Avoid touching or smearing the card. Let the blood soak through completely — each circle should be fully filled.
Leave the collection card to air dry for at least 30 minutes. Once dry, place it in the pre-paid return envelope and pop it in the post. Your sample is stable for up to 4 weeks in transit.
